Premiere Date: December 10, 2023
Description: Rachel is stuck reliving the night of her parents’ Hanukkah party in an endless time loop. Can Zach—the “nice boy” her grandmother is trying to set her up with—help her finally make it to tomorrow? Each repetition brings new hijinks, surprises, and a little holiday (and Hanukkah) magic.
Chemistry: The leads spark in a wonderfully realistic way, and the supporting side romances add even more charm and fun. The ensemble feels cohesive and invested, which makes the loop feel fresh every time.
Plot: Time loop stories can be repetitive, but this one keeps things engaging by making each iteration different and fun. It’s clever, lighthearted, and doesn’t overstay its welcome.
Design: Everything feels right, from the cozy party setting to the subtle touches that make each repeated evening feel slightly new.
Overall: A delightful surprise. Different, funny, and full of heart, with Vic Michaelis’s comedic timing making it even better. Bonus points for being a Santa-rated movie that’s actually celebrating Hanukkah—the irony is not lost on me.
