Description: A grieving widow discovers her magic scarf can bring a snowman to life. Yes, you read that right. Together, they attempt to rekindle romance, laughter, and holiday cheer before he—inevitably—melts. It’s the kind of premise that makes you question whether someone in a writers’ room had a very hot cocoa-induced brainstorm.
Chemistry: Lacey Chabert carries this one with grace, convincingly portraying a widow who still knows how to laugh. Dustin Milligan does his best snowman impression, and Craig Robinson… well, let’s just say he might have been trying to outshine the frost entirely. Most of the supporting cast couldn’t keep up with Chabert’s solid performance, which made the uneven ensemble painfully obvious.
Plot: Look, it’s a snowman come to life. You don’t need a spoiler alert to know the arc here. Still, the story manages to pile on the absurdity, making “suspension of disbelief” feel like an Olympic event. It’s charming in theory, but over-the-top in practice. One bright spot was the nod to Chabert’s other movies. Looking at you, Mean Girls.
Design: Netflix budget magic saves the day. The small town is charmingly kitschy, and the winter setting almost convinces you this could happen… if you squint really hard.
Overall: Fun enough to watch once, but not the kind of movie that will stick in your memory—or make you pause your scrolling.
