Description: Abby Marshall, once a beloved TV mom, is navigating a real-life scandal and heads to a luxury Vermont resort for a Christmas reset. Of course, a booking snafu leaves her without a room just as the town is packed for a rare astronomical eventโa star said to mirror the Star of Bethlehem will appear on Christmas Eve. Luckily, Abby lands at a charming B&B run by Tom Maguire, a widowed high school astronomy teacher whoโs juggling the inn and the local churchโs Christmas pageant. Together, they find themselves caught up in holiday projects, small-town charm, and a little romance sprinkled with starlight.
Chemistry: The leads had genuine warmth and believable sparks. Watching Abby and Tom interact felt effortless, like two people who could really make it work outside the screen.
Plot: A humbled star heading to a small town is always a delight, especially when the story avoids the โfake identityโ trap. The narrative moved at a cozy pace and hit all the right seasonal notes, even if a few conflicts were a bit predictable.
Design: Pretty solid overall. A few random strings of lights almost triggered my Christmas lighting rant, but the sets captured the small-town, festive vibe nicely.
Overall: This one earns its four trees. Itโs heartwarming, well-paced, and anchored by leads who feel real. The conflict had a few eye-roll moments, but it never derailed the cozy, holiday charm. A reliable watch for fans of small-town Christmas magic.
