Description: In The Great Christmas Snow-In, Justin retreats to a remote honeymoon cabin after his engagement falls apart, only to find himself snowed in with Jane—his ex-fiancée’s cousin. As the blizzard rages outside, tension and awkwardness fill the air inside. A spark tries to form between them, but things take a turn when the ex shows up with her new boyfriend. Secrets unravel, songs are sung (poorly), and love may or may not get a second chance.
Chemistry: None. Not a flicker, not a spark, not even a faint ember. Every character interaction felt like two coworkers forced into a team-building exercise.
Plot: It’s a familiar setup—snowstorm, second chances, confined space—but somehow it still managed to be confusing. The story jumped in so fast, I wasn’t sure what was happening, and the “meet-cute” was anything but. Bonus (or penalty) points for the mid-movie duet, which should probably be classified as a cry for help.
Design: Serviceable. The entire movie takes place in one cabin, which was… fine. Nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. It did its job. Shout out to the green screen mountains that made an appearance anytime they went out to the balcony.
Overall: Oh my gosh. I have no idea what happened here. Even my nine-year-old daughter—who is usually a staunch defender of romantic Christmas movies—declared this one dead within the first ten minutes. When you lose the nine-year-old demographic, it’s over.
Best Enjoyed With: An audiobook, so you don’t have to hear it.
