Description: When Prince Alexander of Fredonia sneaks away to a cozy American inn to experience a “normal” Christmas, he finds himself falling for Katie, the unsuspecting innkeeper who has absolutely no idea he’s royal. Apparently, no one in this small town has internet access.
Chemistry: For a pair of C-listers, they did all right. Sure, their relationship felt rushed, forced, and occasionally like a middle-school play—but points for commitment. You can tell they read the script and said, “Yeah, let’s just go for it.”
Plot: You’ve seen it. You’ve definitely seen it. A prince hides his title, finds small-town love, and rediscovers the joy of not having royal responsibilities. It’s the Royal Starter Pack with zero surprises.
Design: The true villain here was the snow. During a hike to the “cell phone reception clearing” (yes, that’s a real plot point), the snow turned out to be… suds. Literal bubbles floating through the air like a detergent commercial. Once you notice it, you can’t unsee it. The rest of the décor was fine—simple, safe, and probably recycled from another movie set.
Overall: It’s the kind of movie that’s just bad enough to be entertaining. Whether you’re watching intently or scrolling your phone, you’ll have a good time. It’s low-effort holiday comfort—like reheated cocoa that still hits the spot.
Best Enjoyed With: Microwave popcorn, fuzzy socks, and the royal expectation of absolutely nothing.
