Description: Natasha is stepping into her grandfather’s boots as the town’s Secret Santa, delivering gifts to deserving neighbors. When a reporter is determined to uncover the identity of the gift-giver, Natasha scrambles to keep the secret and falls in love.
Chemistry: The leads were perfectly adequate—not swoon-worthy, but pleasant enough. Honestly, the most convincing relationship was between Jordin Sparks’ character and her on-screen grandmother.
Plot: The premise is sweet, but the movie moves at the pace of a gentle stroll in the snow… uphill… in boots two sizes too big. Interesting idea, but slow execution.
Design: The sets and Christmas decorations were fine. There was one particular wreath that looked like they’d dug out of grandma’s attic, but the wreath was hanging on grandma’s front door, so it was okay.
Overall: It was fine. It was just a little flat and slow. The plot was nice, and the budding relationship was okay, but it was just a little bland and can be described as “pleasant enough.”
Best Enjoyed With: A little eggnog and an online catalog to do some secret Santa shopping.
