Description: Their boss, Monique, puts Kayleigh and Darren together to come up with a fun and festive spin on a holiday sales pitch for their top client, Santa’s Pajamas. Sparks fly–not only in the office but in their rivalry to nail the pitch.
Chemistry: Kayleigh stayed a little too icy for a little too long. Their warm-up to each other at the end would have been better if we’d seen her walls coming down a bit sooner. Overall, their chemistry was fine—nothing memorable, but also nothing particularly painful.
Plot: The plot was a standard classic, with two people being forced to work together who are very different in every way. There weren’t any standout moments.
Design: This is where they lost some trees on their rating. The Christmas trees were tacky and it was another one of those movies that falls prey to random decorations spread throughout.
Overall: Still an average watch. I didn’t feel the urge to skip ahead, so it held my attention enough to earn three trees. But the lack of chemistry and questionable decor definitely dragged it down.
Best Enjoyed With: A mug of cocoa and a Balsam Hill catalog so you can see how things could have been.
