Overall Review: For a little while, Forgotten Holiday had me convinced we were headed for a four-tree movie. The leads had great chemistry and I was fully prepared to root for these two crazy kids. Then he got amnesia and forgot how to have chemistry, too. I understand that forgetting the woman you’re falling for is sort of the entire premise. I’m not asking the man to remember everything, but I would have appreciated it if the movie had remembered why I liked them together in the first place.
The plot itself was fine. Nothing particularly offensive, nothing especially memorable. The Christmas decorations were Hallmark standard, with one notable exception of a house that looked like someone had attacked it with a can of fake snow.
I really wanted to give this one four trees. The opening had earned my enthusiasm, and the movie looked the part. Unfortunately, somewhere between the accident and the inevitable happy ending, I lost interest in the relationship.
He forgot her and by the end, I’d nearly forgotten why they belonged together.
